I'm sorry Bub

by «_ĀÐdï©+ïØñ¯»   Dec 15, 2004

I ruined something special,
When I got involved with him,
A friendship that seemed unbreakable,
The future then seemed dim.
I guess I should’ve known better,
That she meant more than he ever would,
That nothing with him would have last,
I should have understood.
She was and is still in love with him,
It was not my ground to stand,
But by doing so I hurt her,
When I should’ve been holding her hand.
I’m sorry Bub, for screwing up,
I realize I did wrong,
I should’ve always been there for you,
Instead of stringing you along.
He’s your first love, and will always be,
It was wrong to even try,
To make him someone else to me,
Other than the person who has made you cry.
He is nothing compared to you,
You’re my best friend, and so much more,
I love you more than life itself,
And no one has meant that much before.
