The Kiss I So Desire

by Bryce Ellner   Dec 15, 2004

What is sleep when it never comes?
Nothing more than a memory
A long lost feeling I miss
A fragment of what thought to me a midnight kiss.
Soothing lips parting my own
Breathing into me as I dream my dreams.
As if they were from the lips of an angel
Pouring a soul into this lifeless corpse.

An everlasting kiss
So perfect I can taste it's bliss

I wait here for you
For that kiss that I so desire
One is all I need
To let me fall asleep one last time.

I thought this was lovley. I loved the imagery and dramatic symbols. It was darkly romantic, and I especially admired the lines,
"A long lost feeling I miss
A fragment of what thought to me a midnight kiss."
I thought those were really beautiful. Well done
