Night Hunter

by Momentary Relapse   Dec 16, 2004

Swiftly on silent wings I come
Touching down onto the earth looking around
I twist around hearing a gentle throb
Slowly I move beginning the hunt now

You'll know me only as the bringer of death
For my pale white face is the last thing you'll see
As I gently break the skin of your neck
And feel the throbbing life blood fill me

It is good you feel abundant fear
Because if you didn't you soon will
Through the night shadowed streets I roam
And quickly close in for the kill

Your terror excites me as I chase you down
I'm the hunter of the darkened night
Preying on your pumping blood
Try to run since it adds to your fright

I'm sorry to tell you all that you believe is a lie
I can outlive you even if I step into the sun
You hope at dawn I'll hide in my crypt
But no to tell you these words is only such fun

I know of Dracula, Vlad the Impaler
People associate these fiends with but no...
They think I am this way to hide in the sun
I don't hide I boldly march with the flow

By day I sleep if I wish to rest
And at night I hunt with precision so cool
To lap up the blood from my fatal kiss
And soon move on to the next fool

If you do not fear the night
You soon might as well
I always like to play with my prey
So beware darkened streets listen to these words I tell

For one darkened night when you are alone
I'll be the one there to smile at you
You'll feel a quick bite before losing sight
And you will never have a clue

Call me a demon, call me a monster
Curse me in several tongues
You'll not be safe from the bringer of death
And so my tale is done
