The Sadness

by Janice Brown~©~   Dec 17, 2004

There's a sadness in these eyes,
It never goes away,
No matter what I do,
No matter what I say.

There's a sadness in this smile,
No one ever sees.
I put on my fake smile,
I do it just to please.

There's a sadness in my lungs,
Everytime I breathe.
It's there when you're away,
It's there when you leave.

But the sadness that hurts the most,
Is the sadness in my heart.
Because it breaks into pieces,
Everytime we're apart.

~~~I wrote this thinking of Andrew. Thank you for loving me.~~~
