Do you know what it is like
to be left behind
and watch your whole life
fall apart in front of you
and yet you have no control over it?
Do you know what it is like
to wake up in the middle of the night fighting back tears
because even your dreams
make you feel pain.
Do you know what it is like
to never feel accepted
even when everybody is your friend?
Do you know what it is like
when everything you do
is never enough
and someone is always disappointed
no matter how hard you try?
Do you know what it is like
to leave everything behind
and all you can do is reminisce
while you are all alone?
Do you know what it is like
to cry out for help
only to be turned away
because no one can hear you?
Do you know what it is like
to constantly be let down
by the ones you love
to be hurt by the most
by the ones you trust?
Do you know what it is like
to share your feelings
only to have them used against you
by the only person you want to be with
but you want to be with them
to the point that you let them use you?
