Children In The Fire

by unknown   Dec 20, 2004

Nothing to explain, no words that show me, the blur is what you see
Nothing to show me, a sound that makes no sense, a feeling so intense..
The world is burnt in hate, all of us on fire, all of us consumed by vanity..
Shout lord for I am your neighbour, a fellow citizen a national known name..
Burn all the meaning of words, burn all of human kind..
There is nothing to describe the hatred that blazes in me, flows in me…..
You cannot extinguish it, a fault in the human chain, a wronging that can not be known of..

Drown me in a river, hang me from a beam, cut me up and show the lord the world is clean..
Show your fellow race that the disgrace is departed, nothing of it remains..
What fools you are, a presence consumes you all more deeply, more wickedness on its fingertips now..
Plant all your seed, hope the food will grow, nothing will grow here anymore the soil is dead and dry..
The waters will cease to flow, all your lips will be dry and your throats desperate for water, nothing will move again in that village..

There are no names, no words in the world of forgotten voices, in the making of a scene so wrong, a vivid absence..
No mother of birth, no father of love.. all the death around you is gone, for nothing else is born..
So may word that bring shame onto the lips of children and adults alike, for mother is the name for god on children’s lips, but die in peace the mother of mine..
