A photographically depicted child

by unknown   Dec 20, 2004

In a night-time tale – a stable story of love and woe
A little girl hides within those pages,
A little girl plays between those words.
She stays unseen, unknown and forgotten.

Her pale, colourless, ashen skin visible in the dark places she hides,
But in this happy little story everyone focuses on the light.
So her watered eyes and skinny little body stays concealed in the book of forgotten minds.

Her home burnt down,
Her life at an end
Neglected and unknown of in this happy little story,
She lurks, fending for herself, crying for others.

All at an end, all at a stop, she stays still and hopes to be seen,
But her attempts fail and she returns to the dark.
She runs and plays within the burning pages of the forgotten minds book….
All alone, all at peace, never to be know of..
a child photographically depicted in the pages of a book..
