The Word

by Samantha Jorae   Dec 21, 2004

We both said it,
But now we’re through,
We’re stuck in a corner,
With nothing we can do.
It hurts me deep inside
To see you all the time,
With nothing left to say,
Except will you be mine?
It doesn’t mean much now,
It’s just something I can’t forget,
I said it and I meant,
This pain I don’t regret.
If tonight is our last night,
What would you have to say,
Would you ask me for forever,
Or only for a day.
I can’t let go of you,
No matter what I try,
Of all this pain we put each other through,
It’s no wonder why we cry.
I will say it plain and simply now
But this will be the last,
My love with last forever,
Even though we’re in the past!
