Kindred

by Elizabeth Ann   Dec 25, 2004

You must be the one who’s loved me in my dreams and named me for this heaven?
So long my harmony has lasted whilst I had your ear to love it.
And in kind yours slaves my own soul to embrace it. Ours to each other's spirit a salve to adorn our halos.

What better named our Utopia than our own acquired bliss? No longer inside ourselves can our souls, nor without even our shadows be alone?

Wont for passion while our lungs hunger, and so our lust comes.

Chosen are we kindred, now as one we see how our conscious shone.

Ever to be else now but sleepless friends to peace...

No somberness, though there is the sobriety (as well as joy and hungry passion) of finding one's perfect partner. Wonderful and blessed. I hope it signals a successful find.

You have done it again, I love the art and style of your work and how you format your writing. The words are beautiful, and the lines are powerful and entrancing. I especially liked the lines, "What better named our Utopia than our own acquired bliss? No longer inside ourselves can our souls, nor without even our shadows be alone?"
I thought those were so beautiful. Good job, lovely
