An American Soldier

by Brittany   Dec 26, 2004

An American soldier is what you are.
Everyday of your life you protect mine with yours.
Your shoes I'll never be able to feel.
My debt to you will never be paid back.

An American soldier is ready to fight the great fight,
to defend this great country with everything they've got.
They leave their homes, and their families behind, just to go, and to protect whats mine.

An American soldier is what I consider a Super Hero.
No, not like superman, because compared to hi, superman would look like a Zero.

If I could I'd go and thank EVERY Great American Soldier's hand, tell them thank you for protecting MY promise land.
This is defiantly the home of the brave, where freedom will always remain,
So to every soldier alive, and passed on, thank you for your courage you've shown.

Dedication: This poem is dedicated to all of the men and women who have given their liefs and those of who have survived in the past, present, and future. I just wanted to thank you, and let you know I appreciate you with everything Ive got.
