Letting you in

by RockerJenni   Dec 28, 2004

All the buildings are falling around me
And the roses are dead
The fairytale animals ran away
Just because of hurtful words I said

The grass has wilted
The trees are bare and cold
I'm alone in this trashed up world
With nothing around to hold

I try to run away
But I'm barricaded by the gates
My little life of happiness
Been destroyed by fate

All the wildlife have been shot dead
And the truth that was hidden
Suddenly it all haunts me
Everything that was once forbidden

The past is the rain that dampens hope
The wind takes away my faith
The clouds that cover up the light
Like the darkness hides your face

Scared, tearful and wanting your love
Locked in here all alone without you
I'm forced into this little world
Well, I dont know what to do

If only I could let you in
My world could be so right
But barriers I built keep us apart
If I let you in, you would be my light
