Crying Under the Moonlight

As she cries under the moonlight
She wishes she could change the past.
She wishes she could have left with happy memories,
Instead of the heart brake she did.

In those 4 hours she lost all happiness and all love.
She knows that it’s not all her doing.
But she just can’t stop the tears.

All she really longs for is everything to be the same.
Traditions to fall into place like they once did.
But it will never be the same.
The routine has been broken.
New one's are being made.

Being broken up from the one she loved tore her heart in two.
She knows her beloved friend feels it too.
When she seen me crying.
I felt her heart drop at that exact moment.
We felt each other’s sadness.
We felt each other’s love.

Maybe someday everything can go back and be the way it was.
Maybe someday we’ll both laugh like we once did.
Maybe someday we’ll each be able to hold on to each other.
We would know that we’ll never again be broken apart.
Our hearts would heal from the break.
We would both feel complete again.
We would be able to live out the rest of our lives in happiness.
