Please Let Go

by Erica Brown©   Dec 28, 2004

I watch you sleep,
I feel like such a creep.
Trust me I'm there,
Watching you every day as you despair.

It's not fair,
That all I can do is stare.
While your life goes by,
As you slowly begin to die.

After that horrible day,
There is nothing I can say.
But I still hear you,
Even though I'm not in your view.

You try to be happy,
When deep down you're sappy.
Lies upon lies,
Slowly as your life comes to demise.

And it's all my fault,
I made your life as bitter as salt.
I shouldn't have done it,
I didn't think anyone loved me one bit.

I see you cry,
As I act like a spy.
I wish I could disappear,
Please, let go dear.
