What She Did To You, What You Did To Me

Now you've had your heart crushed,
Your feelings put on show,
She played you like a guitar,
And everybody knows.

She took you for a sucker,
Fooled you with sweet words.
Now you know how it feels,
For someone you love to make you hurt.

Funny how things work out,
Frozen quickly after boiling hot.
I should be laughing at your broken heart,
But truthfully, I'm not.

I didn't think you deserved it,
Though you left me for dead.
All I see is your shattered expression,
And I can't get it out of my head.

Because no matter what you do to me,
No matter what pain you cause,
I'll accept and live with it,
Without so much as a pause.

I would much rather be broken,
Crying every night as I pray,
Living in hell forever,
As long as you are okay.

*Found it in my journal...another one I forgot I had*
