The one thing we both did right

I wrote this poem for one of my best friends to give to the father of her baby. i wrote it from her point of view. it tells about their relationship and her pregnancy...PLEASE comment or vote on this poem..

I was supposed to be your first true love, so much for that i see,
You'll never be half the man you make yourself out to be.

Everything was perfect we never argued or had many fights,
Until you believed a crazy rumor that you heard one night.

Eight months we were together, I thought I had found the one,
Until i came up pregnant and your sorry ass turned to run.

You moved away to Arkansas and forgot the life you had,
You left behind an innocent baby who may never know his dad.

You've always said "You lay you pay" and that's the quote you teach,
So stop being a coward and practice what you preach.

He doesn't deserve to go through this, it's not his fault you cant get along with me,
You helped make him, he's your kid too so take responsibility.

I cant force you in to his life to be the perfect dad,
But by God when this baby boy grows up you're gonna wish you had.

From the eight months we were together at least one good thing came of this,
And that's the beautiful baby boy laying beside me in his crib.

So take this as a compliment and not a reason to start a fight,
Because despit everything that you messed up He's the one thing we both did right!
