South side shorty

by cindy j.   Dec 30, 2004

Heres a story of a shorty whose life was left in glory,
but heres the beginning of the story: drugs, sex, and lies
was all she saw through her eyes. receiving lies that were deceiving, growing up and hate receiving.
living with lies every night with crying eyes,
heres another story inside the story about the heart of her home:
ugh, WHATS LEFT TO SAY WAS THAT SHE STOOD ALONE...
seeked help from family but was left with a drunken Daddy, a crying mother, a locked up brother, and 2others, one too busy with his own family and
yeah it hurts to say: the other one going half crazy.
and a sister with too much of a struggle
so she stood alone, lived life on her own,
but was always told to do right from wrong,
left with decisions,
left with choices,
left with liberation to choose education,
left with lines to the mind for the use of manipulation,
of the right left to fight under a gang called a nation being killed for ones two chosen colors used for representation,
of a struggle of a fight, waking up after each night,
going to school her place for education to be placed upon a nation which no longer holds segregation.
IN which ones thoughts and ideas will not be thrown away,
with a different thought each day, Getting out of school everyday going my own way, seeing people pass by my way,
of two people killing EACH OTHER BECAUSE THEY`RE A DIFFERENT RACE???
of a hateful world the south side not my place, not judging anyone by the see of their face,
STILL NOT MY PLACE.
but ignoring all the fights being thrown my way because this south side shorty's life wont go down the drain! The over-generalizations in this teenagers time in life under a hateful nation will be proved wrong because I'm here to write my own song,
make a change in this place, growing up and succeeding in this HATEFUL place,
and you will remember this south side shorty's face,
because i WILL STAND OUT WITH MY INTELLECTUAL MIND IN THIS PLACE. ..
so theres the story of a south side shorty's life left in glory, growing up around all the hate.
look at my life in this horrible place, LIKE I SAID DON'T JUDGE MY BY MY FACE!
look at my own thoughts around all this hate,
so NOW give me your excuse,
on why you cant live the best of your life each day.....
