Drowning

by Billi Vermillion   Dec 31, 2004

Alone in the dark
So patiently waiting
The secrets held safe
Fall out of place
They unfold
To be told
Anticipating
Death and its warmth
Wanting to be free
Free to be me
To be myself
I can feel its arms
Wrap so tenderly around me
My world suddenly demented
And everything i know flashed before my eyes
And i realize i don't want to die
But i slowly let go
And i slowly fall
My body releasing it all
I'm drowning now in my own world
This world that i tore
Drowning in these thoughts i never knew i had
The things that make me sad
Knowing i want to live
But don't know how
It's to late now
I feel me drowning my life away
And there is nothing to say
