Real World

by Shelby   Dec 31, 2004

As I walk down the road of life,
I see many immitations,
People playing roles,
pretending that life is perfect.

But perfect is far from it.
I look to the left, families losing homes,
hearts being broken, and lives being taken.
They are being etched into my mind.

To the right, just as much chaos.
Thieves, liars, backstabbers, decievers...
So much burns inside myself,
knowing I can do nothing about it.

But, at the end of the road,
there is a light,
A light of hope, faith, and love.
There...it truly is perfect.
