At the end of your letters..

At the end of all your letters
you say "love always"
do you really mean it that way?
or am I fooling myself for no better

Since the first time you did that in the end
my mind just went off the wall
I first thought of you as just a friend
but I now have thoughts of more we could have down the hall

Each time you do that
I think maybe you really mean it
each time you write "love ya"
I really fall so much deeper

Why do you do this
you have no idea what I'm feeling now
why can't I get through this
and just accept that it had no meaning

I told you after new year's how I felt
How every time I receive a letter my heart melts
I told you what it meant to me
even though I know you could never have that love for me

I told you this and you responded
it wasn't what I expected
for what you said went over my bounds

You said you do love me as well
and those that were at the end of your letters
had real meaning too.
And then you said...
"I've always been in love with you."
