This Life of Mine

by Alex   Jan 2, 2005

I hate the person in the mirror,
I hate the life that is mine,
I hate the place I live in shame,
Oh how I wish this were not mine,
I look at the reflection in the broken image,
Hating the way it looks, hating the way it feels,
The image that is so blurry, an image so fake,
Trying to break the mirror, trying to break the seal,
Hating the past and hating the present,
Wanting a different future, a different life of mine,
Wanting no shame, wanting no mirror,
Oh how I wish this life weren’t mine,
I used to call this place my home,
I wanted a family the is caring and loving,
I wanted a family to call my own,
One thing I never wanted is to be alone...
