Too Many Kisses

by Erica Brown©   Jan 4, 2005

I want to go out,
Without my lipstick smeared.
Let's just go about,
With thoughts of kisses cleared.

We never talk,
We just osculate.
Leaving my mouth dry as chalk,
Making me wonder if you're my soul mate.

I turn to speak,
But I'm blocked.
Not by a kiss on the cheek,
By our lips that are locked.

You never let me tell you I love you,
Because your kisses hush me.
Now I wonder if I even do,
All because you won't let my lips be.

WOW! Those are the exact words I just want to throw at my boyfriend! I appreciate this poem because I can completely relate, I just haven't been able to find the right words to explain it. I love it, honestly.

Not quite as fond of this poem as others i've read. Not sure why really, I think sometimes you're just putting tings in because it rhymes, not because it's how you feel. Like the idea, not the execution. Sorry. Take care.
