Without Your Words

by Jackie Bilson   Jan 5, 2005

Hints and signs I never could read,
Unless they're for someone else.
To me love is something everyone needs,
And someday I'll hear my wedding bells.

But without your words this means nothing.
Without your request.
Without you wanting to be with me,
I couldn't wear that wedding dress.

Your subtlety is astounding,
But I know there's something there.
Why else would my heart be pounding,
When I lock into your breathtaking stare?

But without your words this means nothing.
Without your sweet reply.
Without you making it clear to me,
That you want to be my guy.

Maybe this year you wanted new friends,
And I'm a just a stupid girl.
Stupid enough to believe you pretend,
I'm the only one in your world.

But without your words this means nothing.
Without actual verbal proof.
Without you coming to ask me out,
I'll never know the truth!
