Little sister

by emily   Jan 6, 2005

Three and half years younger than me
know one else sees what I see.
Smart and beautiful, a great girl inside and out.
She reminds me of what being a catholic is all about.
Honest, hard-working, forgiving, and more.
A living example of what friends are for.
Bubbily, outgoing, never stops talking.
The type that falls but continues walking.
Extremely giving, she'd give you the shirt off her back.
This quality I cannot contemplate, b/c its one that I lack.

She makes me laugh through the roughest of times.
With her silly sayings and funny little rhymes.
She makes me want to be a better being.
Her gentle ways force me into seeing
my true reflection and how I can better myself.
And that life is precious, not all about wealth.

She's my truest friend and one I can always trust
to tell my secrets and stories about my newest lust.
I would be lost without her presence in my life.
I'd sacrifice myself, I'd take the knife.

I love her more than words can describe.
She's more than my sister, this I can't hide.
So I thank God and my parents for her each and every day.
"She was sent from heaven" is what I always say
So last I plead that no one ever take her away
for without her I couldn't live another day.
