Aliva Again

by Samantha lynn   Jan 7, 2005

Memories fade
As your eyes drift
Away from my face,
And to another’s lips.

Fingers
Once laced together
Perfectly molded
For the other;
Slowly slip away.

What once was
A call
A sign
Of an abysmal love
Never dying
Never ending
Drowns now;
Beneath you secrets
Beneath your lies.

Arms that once
Held me close
Held me safe
Are no longer there
No longer mine to have.

Your smile
Shining like a sunrise
Laughing at my petty troubles
In gone;
Like the feeling in my heart
In my soul.

I move now;
Through this endless fog,
Waiting
Drifting
To when I can feel
Alive;
Again.
