A Love Never Felt Before

by Felipe Gomez   Jan 7, 2005

Many times I feel things...
sad and depressing words that come,
I say many times things I should not
and feel often my heart numb.

I feel lonely in this huge world
standing alone and watching around
people living their everyday lives
trains;cars; noise- but without a sound.

I don't know what else to do
so I ask you God for an angel come.
Time is running out very fast-
I care not to continue this run.

I notice straight ahead a woman
I believe that She is looking at me.
For some strange reason I feel warm
and now She is all that I see.

Without warning I glance to my left
and by instinct, I glance to my right-
not to forget the woman ahead
I look straight again to not loose sight.

From the corner of my eye, I see again
to my right the man's arm pulled out
with something in his hand I don't see
I glance again and see about.

A man is running and close in front
by thought I know this is wrong
This woman I see; running toward me
I know that none of us here belong.

I am wondering what is this to be...
up until now, only few seconds past.
I notice the sun loosing its sight-
the sky is now becoming overcast.

I hear a gun shot and then another
in repeated sessions again and again
I am so frightend I cannot lay down
as the world around me has fallen in.

I see again the men once running-
he appears to be untouched and alright
My eyes glaze upon Her quickly.
Tears from my eyes are now in sight.

I run but three step more ahead
I see Her blood- Her body torn
My arms I wrap around Her waist
I can do nothing now but mourn.

"Help" I am screaming out to the world.
Help Her God for Her life She gave.
I asked you God for an angel come
She appeared towards me so brave.
