Life's Journey

by Chelsey   Jan 7, 2005

Such an oppressed little girl
With such unused potential
Yet hidden like a pearl
Faced much abuse and put downs
Wishing she had some other choice
But this was her only escape
To afraid to speak up her voice

Obstacles thrash us all
Remember these moments always pass
Don't let it make you fall
Tomorrow is always a new day
Rise up even if you have to crawl

He was swallowed up by his own gloom
Even at such a young age
Left his family nothing but memories
Not turning life's next page
Knowing for a certainty he'd failed

Obstacles thrash us all
Remember these moments always pass
Don't let it make you fall
Tomorrow is always a new day
Rise up even if you have to crawl
