Him

by RCM   Jan 8, 2005

Lonely’s when you have no one
Or when nobody cares
When you wake in the middle of the night
And find you’re on your own.
Lonely is a telephone that seldom ever rings
An album full of pictures of the family once you knew.
But the saddest case of lonely
Is when you think of him.

You remember all those happy days
Filled with love and hope
You remember all the loving times
That are now all gone for good.
You remember all those special days
When you celebrated, and followed that with love.
Yes, boy how you remember,
And, with a teary eye, wish that time again.

But sadly all those times are gone
They’ll never come again
Except in instant replays
Of the tapes within your head.
But even those are aging
The memory’s growing dim
You wish you could erase the tape
Especially those of him.
