Thankyou

A little thankyou can mean so much
Like the card you sent to stay in touch
The roses you gave on Valentines
Or even the thoughtful bottle of wine
A word of praise when I'm feeling down
Sometimes just to have you around
So many things I'm thankful for
All these things and so much more
But most is to know you love me
And having you there continuously
Always there as my main support
So much given and so much taught
You are my strength my brick wall
The parent my friends are envious for
You're not always right but you're seldom wrong
And more often than not we don’t get along
But no matter how young or old I am
You've been around since my life began
You know me better than I know me
And I rely on you constantly
All these things I needed to say
And I silently thankyou each and every day.
