Sleepless Nights

by Libby M   Jan 9, 2005

Late at night I see your face
Instantly tears fill my eyes
nothing but tears with a heart
pierced with pain
I have been in this dream before
I vibe the obsession as I take each step
I still dont have the courage to ask
you to love me
Although for many nights, Summmoning
up my courage, I walk toward your silently
sound asleep soul
Placed my lips gently on your chest
tenderly kissing the beating of your heart
Whispering my vows while you quietly sleep
Tonight i secretly vow to make your heart
my home, the rock i cling to when I'm drowning in
the reality of my pain.
Wish you knew how much I am in the need of your
arms, wish you only knew the comfort your face
brings to me every night...

Libby, Love is powerful and can be beautiful, if it is with the right one. I know where you're coming from. A beautiful poem, once again. lol
