Lifes a beach

by Shaneese   Jan 12, 2005

As I look at the star
floating over my head
it's up so far,
it could already be dead.

I took a look in the mirror,
but I saw somebody else.
Their face getting clearer
as I slipped away from myself.

And if some reaction
is what you're looking for here,
I felt immense satisfaction
as I disappeared.

This all may be convoluted,
but I felt set free,
no longer polluted,
by the stain of me.

I took a look in the mirror,
but I saw somebody else.
Their soul getting tarnished,
as I killed myself.

As I look at the star
floating over my head
it's up so far,
it could already be dead.
