Little Boy Beggar

by Bryce Ellner   Jan 13, 2005

Good day sir, could you spare a dollar?
I swear it won't be put to waste
I'm only a boy without a home you see
Just my little alley-way space.
Kind lady, will you spare me change?
I promise to put it to use.
Then maybe someday I'll pay you back
If only you'll give me what is loose.

Ten years later...

My dear sir and lady
Thank you for coming here
You don't remembering me do you?
Then I'll tell you, lend an ear.
I was the boy on the streets of the city
Whom you gave your change to
I'm here to pay you back
Will...One hundred thousand do?
