No more.

Like a ghostly nightmare
She began to fall
Life flashing in front of her eyes
Seeing how this long walk
Had been for nothing at all.

Now she looks upon the clouds
Where her dreams are meant to be
But they had all shattered apart
Split like broken glass
Each a little piece of her heart

And in these many pieces
Stories of life move like whispers
But these stories are dark
Dark as the moonless night
Where nothing is truly hers

She’s falling as fast as this wind
That she has feared for far too long
She’s been afraid that this wind around her
Would pull off her smiling mask
And let her heart sing its own song

A song that would shock all those around her
Make them hate every part of her soul
The hate shall grow like raging fire
Destroying her slowly but surely
Making this animal inside lose control

But there has only ever been the silence
Silence like untouched snow
The silence which means more than words
More than the tears which rained last night
Or the blood that seems to flow

So now her body lies on this concrete floor
With the rain falling as she did before
Melting into the cold wet dirt
Feeling at home at last
Knowing that there will be no more
