Nervous

(inhale)
Your palms are sweating
Your hands are shaking
You’re a disaster waiting to happen
Everyone’s staring at you
You start to fell your knees cave so grab your desk before you fall
Your mind is racing
You’re hoping
Wishing
Praying that you say the right thing
You know if you don’t
Everyone’s going to laugh
Your feel a tear on your cheek
But wipe it away before someone notices it
Your stomach
Twisting
Knotting
Rumbling
Your heart
Tearing
Wanting to belong
You start to mumble
Giggles in the background echo in your mind
Like the footsteps herd in an isolated area
You try to block them out but its too late
You’ve had enough
You run
(exhale)
