The Plan

by Bryce Ellner   Jan 14, 2005

Fallen have the mask and veil
And what was unknown is now revealed
Stare into the face of obscenity
As you run from an unreal reality
The light flickers, about to die
Fading away into the cold, daunting night
One last chance to reach serenity
But now the world begins to impede
It knocks you down, so you crawl
Try to get back up and you'll fall
So what difference does it make?
As you feel your body begin to break.
But then you realize, its clear as day
You can't die here, not today
This world can't be rid of you, not yet
You have yet to show it what it will regret

Stand your ground, don't give up
You're fighting for us all
And when your eyes finally begin to close
The real world will crumble...and fall..

Excellent Poem! Really amazing. Very interesting focus. I liked the principle of this poem. And I love the way you expand your vocabulary. Very nice choice in words. And your 17? Wow. I don't know many teens who write like this. Incredable job. I'd give it a 10 if I could.
