Why were you chosen?

by Jamie   Jan 14, 2005

Why were you taken,
Why is it you're gone,
Life's so unfair,
This seems so terribly wrong.

Why did God chose you,
Why were you grasped so fast,
Your life was robbed beneath you,
And now a shadow's been cast.

Merely 15,
Not yet even a man,
You had so much to live for,
Yet it wasn't God's plan.

It's so hard to take in,
I still lose my breath,
When I think it was my birthday,
On the day of your death.

How can I be lucky,
How come I'm still here,
Why did God chose you,
It all seems so unclear.

When so many want to die,
When so many are filled with pain,
Why is it you were taken?
When your life had so much to gain.

But the unexplainable happened,
And were left here with empty tears,
Hanging our heads,
Counting your years.

The questions still remain,
And I can't face that your deceased,
But how can one question God?
So I'm left with nothing but grief.

**Dedicated to Donny Vollrath(15) who life was taken in a snowmobile accident on Jan. 11, 2005(my birthday) in our small town...I will never forget him**
