My shadow walks away
When I've had enough
There's nothing like something that's only yours
Finally giving up

It comes back every morning
Except when it's dark outside
The time I need it most
Is when it decides to hide

It leaves me, when I need help
I thought it was supposed to be only mine
But I guess when the sun ain't there
The shadow won't shine
