He touches her face
Tomorrow he won't have left a trace

Tonight is different
Even if it’s just a moment

They will love each other
Now and forever

Wherever the wind takes him
Tonight the lights will dim

Tonight they hold each other
Tonight they can be together

As they share a gentle kiss
The kiss she knew she would forever miss

As they are lost in one another’s arms
They know they are free from harm

Tonight they are lovers not friends
But tomorrow it’s all pretend

As the feeling she longed to be held is lifted from her shoulders
The weight of two massive boulders

All she wanted was one night to be loved
All he needed was somewhere to call home

Tonight they are lovers
But tomorrow they are friends
