Time Goes By

by Mollie   Jan 15, 2005

I’ve been sitting here
And I’ve been watching the minutes fly
How they seem to go by
So much faster in years time,

We’ve got to pause
Remember what we’re doing
Remember what our cause
Because times not renewing,

Yesterday I found joy in clouds
And we all had twinkling eyes
Now my interest is in my money count
And the next Elvis in disguise,

I don’t want to blink another wink
Because I’ll miss out on a year I swear
There’s no time to stop and think
And just catch a breath of air,

Will we pursue what we once dreamed of?
Will our love come from our fairy tail?
Have all of our dreams prevailed?
And all of this has run through my mind
In this short hours time,

I’ve been sitting here
And I’ve been watching minutes fly
How they seem to go by
So much faster in a years time.
