Black Decay

by Mollie   Oct 2, 2008

The fog invites a black decay
Inviting and insisting pain
Time didn't heal my haunting past
And this fog has consumed my veins

Waiting for a break in the fog
That would make everything okay
Please release this soul for this maze
This vulture just won't go away

Turning this anguish into hate
Now I'm removing this dagger
Once and for all, changing my fate
I've buried emotion and hate

Muddy waters don't settle
They will just slowly move away
Unintentional but true
You always make me bend till I break

Life has been so unrewarding
And now the seasons are changing
Now, as my life is unfolding
It's fallen apart and fading

The fog invites a black decay
Inviting and insisting pain
Time didn't heal my haunting past
And this fog has consumed my veins.
