My Actions Costed My Friends

by Natalie Forest TL   Jan 16, 2005

Memories of people,
Who left far too soon,
I remember that night,
The 20th of June.

The party was awesome,
I was having a blast,
Who would have thought,
We'd get in a car crash.

The shattered windows,
The blood stained ground,
The deadless bodies,
Were all that were found.

I was the only survivor,
The one at the wheel,
I only had four drinks,
...Wasn't a big deal.

But as I saw them lying there,
I bursted into tears,
And reflected upon
The previous years.

The way they smiled,
The way we laughed,
...Gone forever
Its just so hard to grasp.

Because I chose to drink and drive,
I killed my friends that night,
And if it was not for my actions,
They would all still be alive.
