Believing One Last Time

by Kevin Yang   Jan 19, 2005

My days are filled with anguish...
as I progress through the tunnel of despair.
What was once a path filled with light...
is now a fog ridden glare.

The inner soul of my heart searches for answers...
yet none come to it's aid.
I long for a light to believe in...
and in which you came.

I hesitated to grab to the rope you cast...
afraid I might fall.
Because I trusted you once...
and you let me ball.

But there a little voice cried...
longing to be let through.
The part of me, that indeed...
still knew it loved you.

I was told to forgive you...
and let the past go.
Because the part of me that loved you...
still wanted to know.

That if no contact was requested...
why would you hold so dear?
The heart that you tossed...
with no regret, feel, or fear.

Emotions are so amorphous to me now...
as I look for direction.
Not knowing when and how...
you and I will again make that connection.

But at the end of the day...
if it's wedding bells I hear, with you by my side.
It will have ALL have been worth it...
waiting for you, and beliving in you, this one last time.
