The tears that fall
Burn like acid rain
Washing away my memories

Sometimes shattered
But never broken
Just one consequence of being open

No second chances
Just one,
And that chance has been done

I'll expect the worst from here on out
Always hoping you will change
But always knowing we will never be the same

    It had such a truthful, eloquent ring to it! I especially liked the lines:
