When I close my eyes

I close my eyes
And dream away
That I will eventually
Live happily one day

Away from my life
Away from this pain
Away from this house
Cause there’s nothing I can gain

All they do
Is bicker and yell
And try to make my life
A living hell

They don’t understand
They don’t even try
That is why I stay in my room
And pretend not to cry

What hurts the most
Is they don’t bother knowing
That all the pain inside
Hasn’t stopped growing

It keeps adding on
More and more each day
But I’m hoping it will stop
Every night I pray

Don’t get me wrong
I don’t have depression
I’m just going through
A stage of aggression
