A Cure For Love?

by brin macnamara   Jan 21, 2005

Does the heart react to CBT?
Can seven weeks of talking therapy cure you of loving the most beautiful woman in the world?
All the available evidence in the universe won't stop me from loving you.
No hierarchy nor distraction
will drag my heart back from the precipice it hangs from.

For love creeps up on the heart like a thief in the night.
The more I ignore you, avoid you,
the stronger the feelings become.
like a man with a phobia
I am paralyzed with passion.

I need medical help.
Are the palpitations caused by cravings for your embrace,
Or... am I really dying?
Dying with desire.
My tummy churns, vision fuzzy,
blood pressure raised,
Feel twitchy.
No.
Only You can heal me....
Only with your Kisses.
I don't need CBT.
