Grandma

by Samantha   Jan 22, 2005

October 6th was the day,
That our heavenly father took you away.
You were barely 40 with a heart so pure,
When I was sick you always had a cure.

I was only 6 with an imagination so wild,
You were so happy to tell people I was your grandchild.
You were my role model, I thought you were the best thing ever,
In my heart is where your memory will stay forever.

I hope that I make it to heaven so we can fly,
and together we will light up the night sky.
I miss you more each and every day,
I miss those silly games we used to play.

I wish God would have let you stay on Earth with me,
But I guess it wasn't meant to be,
God must have wanted a brand new angel to watch over a person in need,
Or maybe he just needed someone to do a good deed.

But whatever he needed you for, I know this one thing is true,
Nobody on this Earth will ever forget you.-I know this may not be the best poem ever but it means alot to me! hehe
