Happy Girl

by dandy   Jan 22, 2005

Another fake smile shining bright,
so as to fill up your sight.

To maybe fool you into thinking,
I'm well and happy when I'm sinking.

Glances you do steal at me,
a happy girl is what you see.

Deaf to hearing my heart's cry,
My outside's fine as my inside dies.

Soft to the touch though hard to the core,
One heartache is followed by more.

All alone without your embrace,
as the tears fall down my face.

But honestly I never felt,
your arms around me, making me melt.

I only have memories of your kiss,
No new ones to enter, as I reminisce.

A happy girl is who I play,
acting like her everyday.

I hope my guise fools you enough,
so you think that it's not tough.

But at the same time I hope you know,
The kind of pain that you bestow.

So next time you look into my happy girl eyes,
know that you are the reason she cries.
