Salvation denied

by Evanesce   Jan 22, 2005

Trying so hard to be delivered
but they are screaming my name
and I believe.

Take all that I see
engaged in a trance that has seemed to blind me
In unknown mists of darkness
a deep breath en-wreaths me
an intricate being before me
inspires my hope.

His will transparent
because he was told strength is nothing.
Cradling his empty corps
he sighs
taking shape in the displacement.

Left alive in a degrading position
loss of all earthly desires confines me
a truth I cannot exceed.
But I don't feel you here anymore
not in your arms,
not in my heart.
I am fixed in the silence
though you are screaming beside me.
Slowly closing my eyes to disappear
Exhaling all of my essence
to leave this place.

great! i liked it a lot! it wasnt that bubbly crap that me and people like me write, and it wasnt one of those poems that uses big words just to have them...it had depth, it had meaning, it was something that each sentence gets more complex....i loved it!
