That little girl was me

An invisible little girl
Lying on the floor
poor bloody child
can't take anymore

No one claims her body
when she's pronounced dead
no one notices the blood
that's a deep shade of red

She has mascara tears
streaming down her cheeks
who know's when this happened
she might have been there for weeks

No one noticed her pain
she was surrounded by red water
no one claimed the little girl
as their loving daughter

She was dressed in rags
quite a disturbing sight
no one heard her crying
all throughout the night

Her pretty face was covered
by a heartbreaking frown
she had no one to love her
and her life was upside down

No one noticed her trying
to reach out desperately
I'm the only one that knows
because that little girl was me...
