Laying here
with the cold thought of what if
in my head.
I left a trail of tears
leading all the way back to you.
So much sadness, so many cold nights
and still
my broken heart remains yours
held always in those hands-
the hands that bring
fear to the surface
Don't ask me how I feel
I don't even know me anymore.
I watch your picture come to life
in my cold fingers
and you beg me to stop
as I tear it right down the middle.
Not one pure tear
running down your cheek
could make up for
the thousands that fell
from these blackened eyes
One last blow,
across my face
One more sharp dagger of pain
now im slipping,
falling fast into blackness
one last tear falls,
one that I give to you.
now I sleep
a slight smile,
cracks my hallow face
you finally left me here alone
free to die as I please.
