Same as any day.

Look deep, look far, look into the depths of their thought,
When you’re laughing, sharing secrets, acting as friends do,
She’s sitting there alone, she’s sitting there with tears
Tears rolling down her checks, and the only thoughts she’s thinking
Is please don’t let me be caught

Her back is aching, where she has been stabbed so many times,
Her wrists are weak now, with crimson falling forever,
Her eyes are blank, apart from the hollow tears that drown,
They are blind to her, they are deaf to her, and all she wanted was a glance
A word or two sometimes

Too much and she knows it, she pushed them away from her embrace,
They got too close, wanted to know too much, the caring scared her
So she ran into herself, became too far away for them to reach,
So they gave up, gave in, to her powers of hiding within,
She now sees how easy she was to replace

So carry on whispering, carry on laughing, further and further away
She shall fade, till the day when she disappears, into thin air,
And no one notices, no one at all, they shall carry on like before,
Maybe pausing to think something is missing but just ignoring it,
It will be the same as the time before, the same as any day
